How do you determine materials and authenticity?
Attributions are made through a combination of visual examination, hallmarks or maker’s marks, period-appropriate construction techniques, and comparative market research. Unless explicitly stated, materials are not laboratory tested.
Are your pieces restored or altered?
Unless otherwise noted, items are offered in vintage condition. Surface wear, patina, and minor imperfections consistent with age are considered part of the object’s material history and are not treated as flaws.
